Privacy Policy
What we collect, what we do not, and who else your data touches.
The short version
We collect as little as possible. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not build a profile of you. What we hold, we hold because an order or a question cannot be answered without it.
When you buy something
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe. When you press Continue to Payment you leave this site and enter Stripe's own checkout page. Your card number is typed there, on Stripe's systems, and it never touches ours. We never see it and we could not store it if we wanted to.
Stripe passes back to us what we need to make and send the piece: your name, email, telephone number, and the billing and shipping addresses you gave them, along with the order itself. We keep those records because we are required to for tax and for the written appraisal that ships with the piece.
Stripe processes this as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
Your shopping bag
The bag lives in your own browser, in local storage on your device. It is not sent to us, it is not associated with an account, and it is not visible to anyone else. Clearing your browser data empties it. If you never check out, we never learn what was in it.
When you contact us
The contact form on this site does not submit to a server. It opens your own email program with the message pre-filled, so what you send is an ordinary email from you to us. We hold that email the way any business holds correspondence.
What the site loads from elsewhere
- Google Fonts serves the two typefaces this site uses. Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
- Stripe is contacted only when you begin checkout.
- Vercel hosts the site and keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and diagnostics.
There is no Google Analytics on this site, no advertising pixel, and no social media tracker.
Cookies
We set no cookies of our own. Stripe sets cookies on its own checkout pages, which are necessary for payment and fraud prevention.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, subject to the records we are legally required to keep for completed sales. Write to info@culetcouture.com or call 212 944 0099.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page. Material changes to how we handle order data will be described here rather than made quietly.
